Common questions

Which trend method should I use?

Start with the default, Robust Adaptive EWMA. It speeds up when you are genuinely moving and refuses to chase a single heavy day. If you want the classic that most trend-tracking advice is written about, use Hacker’s Diet.

Why does my trend line disagree with the scale?

That is the point. The trend is an estimate of where your weight actually is, once the day-to-day water and food swings are filtered out. On this log the scale moves about 1.16 lb a day while the underlying loss is about 0.10 lb a day.

Does Peptrend write to Apple Health?

Only if you grant write permission, and only for weigh-ins you type into Peptrend yourself. Those are saved back as body-mass samples so your other apps show the same number. A weigh-in that came from Apple Health or from a JSON import is not written back, and doses, vials and goals are never sent to Health. Body mass is the one data type Peptrend writes, whatever else it reads, and read and write permission are separate — you can grant one and refuse the other.

What does Peptrend read from Apple Health?

Body mass, so the weight history your scale already wrote is there without retyping it. Switch on Athlete Mode, arriving in version 1.4.0, and it also reads ten fitness metrics to chart beside your doses: VO₂ max, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, cardio recovery, walking heart rate average, respiratory rate, blood oxygen, sleeping wrist temperature, exercise minutes and active energy. Those ten are asked for at the moment you turn Athlete Mode on — leave it off and they are never requested and never read. Peptrend only reads them; body mass is the one type it writes back. Nothing outside that list is requested at all: no body fat, no lean mass, no waist, no nutrition, no steps, no clinical records.

Where is my data stored?

On your device, and in your own private iCloud database if iCloud is on. There is no account and no server of ours. We cannot read, recover or restore your data.

How do I cancel a subscription?

In your Apple Account settings on your device: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves the period you have already paid for intact.

Does the app tell me how much to inject?

No, and it will not. The reconstitution screen gives you a concentration in mg/mL from the numbers you enter, and stops there. Dosing decisions belong with your prescriber.

Can I import from another tracker?

Yes, from a JSON export in the Shotsy shape. Settings → Import. There is no CSV import.

Is there an Android or web version?

No. Peptrend is iOS only, and sync uses Apple’s CloudKit, which is only available on Apple platforms.

Still stuck?

Email support@fluctusltd.info with any question about the app.

Please do not send screenshots of your weigh-ins, doses or anything else from your log unless a question genuinely needs them. Your data lives on your device and in your own iCloud, and we would rather it stayed there — we cannot read it, and we do not want a copy sitting in an inbox.
