Glapp alternative: oral doses, maintenance goals, free logging

Glapp is a GLP-1 shot log with a semaglutide and tirzepatide level curve, shot phases, weekly reports, daily check-ins and account sync across iPhone, Android and the web, and it now sells Glapp Max plans. Peptrend logs injections and daily tablets free with no account, estimates what is still in your system, and supports Lose, Maintain and Gain goals. Its trend chart is Pro.

Glapp grew as a free GLP-1 shot tracker with a lot of explanation around the dose: shot phases, weekly reports, a comparison with trial data. It now sells a paid tier, Glapp Max. Peptrend covers some of the same ground and leaves much of Glapp’s out. Everything below about Glapp comes from its App Store listing and its site on 18 September 2026, plus its recent App Store reviews where the post says so.

What does Glapp do?

Glapp describes itself as a smart GLP-1 medication tracker for semaglutide and tirzepatide. Its listing and site name these features:

  • Shots: dose, timing and injection site, with reminders.
  • Check-ins: a daily log of side effects, cravings, mood, energy, bowel movements and sleep quality, plus food noise and hunger.
  • Medication level curve: estimated levels for semaglutide and tirzepatide over the weekly cycle, and “shot phases” that predict hunger and energy shifts.
  • Reports: a weekly progress report, and a comparison of your progress with clinical trial data and with other users.
  • Supply: vials and pens, concentration, volume and beyond-use dates, with each dose deducted from what is left.
  • Wisdom: answers to GLP-1 questions drawn from research.

It runs on iPhone, iPad, Android and the web, and your history is tied to a Glapp account so it follows you between them. Its App Store privacy label lists Health & Fitness, Contact Info, Identifiers and Usage Data as data linked to you.

What changed with Glapp Max?

The App Store listing sells Glapp Max plans, monthly, annual and weekly, and the site still calls Glapp a free app. Its reviews date the change to June 2026. Between 18 and 26 June, eleven one- and two-star reviews described the same thing in different words: features that had been free were now blurred or behind the paywall. Two named the reports, and one reviewer said only their own entries were still visible.

Reviews are a sample, not a feature list, and the free tier may have changed since. Glapp’s own screens are the authority on what is free today.

The rows lean different ways. Glapp covers more of the day around a dose, and Peptrend goes further into the dose and the weight themselves.

Can you log a GLP-1 tablet in Glapp?

Glapp’s listing and site describe injections: shot phases, a weekly cycle, and a level curve for semaglutide and tirzepatide. Neither advertises a daily tablet. One review from a user who moved to the semaglutide tablet said there was no option to enter it.

Peptrend has two tablet presets, semaglutide tablets and orforglipron. Choose one and the route becomes oral, the interval daily, and the app counts only the share of each tablet that is absorbed: 0.8% for semaglutide tablets, and for orforglipron the label’s 77% since version 1.4.0 (35% in version 1.3.3). That matters. The label for the newer semaglutide tablets puts absorption at about 1% to 2%, so a curve that counted the whole tablet would be fifty to a hundred times too high. The absorbed share is editable. The oral semaglutide post explains when to change it, and the orforglipron post sets both of those figures beside the approved label.

Does Peptrend support maintenance goals?

Yes. Peptrend’s goal types are Lose, Maintain and Gain. For a Maintain goal you set a target weight, and each week counts as progress when it ends closer to the target than it began, whichever side of the target you are on. Glapp’s site talks about the journey “from first shot to maintenance”, and one Glapp reviewer still asked for a maintenance setting, saying they would pay for one.

On the free tier the Progress tab shows the target weight, the goal’s duration, the distance to goal, percent complete and a weekly rate worked out from your raw weigh-ins. The weekly waterfall, the projected finish date and the Analysis verdict are Pro. Any goal plan faster than 1.5 lb a week, in either direction, is refused. Setting a goal you can hit walks through the rules.

Nothing in the app assumes the line should go down. A rising trend is drawn and read the same way as a falling one.

What is free in Peptrend?

Everything you log, and most of the dose side of the app. Every dose and every weigh-in, the In Your System chart and its Home card, the Next Shot card and its reminder, the raw weight chart, Apple Health weigh-in sync both ways, iCloud sync and JSON import and export carry no Pro gate. There is no account. The App Store privacy label reads Data Not Collected.

The weight trend line and everything computed from it are Pro: the smoothed weight, its weekly rate, the projections and the goal waterfall. The line comes from one of fifteen named smoothing methods, each with its formula on the methods page. What stays free goes through every gate.

Where is Glapp still ahead?

On everything around the dose. Peptrend has no daily check-in, no food noise or hunger log, no mood or sleep entries and no food logging; the only symptom field is a 0 to 10 pain rating on injections. It keeps a vial record, but it does not count down the supply left in a vial or track beyond-use dates. It has no question-answering feature.

It also has no data from anyone else. Peptrend does not compare your log with trial results or with other users, because it knows only what you enter. And it has no Android version, no web app and no account, so anyone who moves between Android, the web and an iPhone would lose that.

What Peptrend gives in return is a free dose log with no account, tablets modelled properly, a level estimate whose constants you can read and change, and a trend line you can check. The privacy-label comparison sets Glapp’s label beside eleven others, and the MeAgain comparison covers the other large tracker built around food and symptoms.

Peptrend's Goal Progress screen on the 1M range, with Scale Weight and Trend Weight tabs. A Distance card reads 12.7 lbs to goal and 48% complete beside a projected finish date, above a Goal Progress waterfall with 'Axis starts at 0.0 lbs' and 'Dose colors' buttons.
Captured with Pro unlocked. Distance to goal and percent complete are free; the finish date and the waterfall are Pro.

Common questions

Is Glapp free?

Glapp's site calls it a free native app, and its App Store listing, checked 18 September 2026, sells Glapp Max plans. Eleven one- and two-star reviews posted between 18 and 26 June 2026 describe features that had been free, reports among them, moving behind Glapp Max. The app itself is the place to check what the free tier includes today.

Does Glapp support GLP-1 tablets?

Its App Store listing and its site name semaglutide and tirzepatide and describe a level curve over the weekly injection cycle. Neither advertises daily tablets. Peptrend has presets for semaglutide tablets and orforglipron, and counts only the absorbed share of each tablet.

Does Peptrend have a maintenance mode?

It has a Maintain goal type beside Lose and Gain. You set a target weight, and progress toward it is measured by how close each week ends to the target, in either direction. The distance to goal is free; the weekly goal waterfall is Pro.

Does Peptrend work on Android or the web?

No. There is no Android version, no web app and no account. Glapp's site describes account sync across iPhone, Android and a web browser, which is a real reason to prefer it if you switch devices.
