MeAgain alternative: dose and weight logging with no account
MeAgain and Peptrend overlap on dose logging and little else. MeAgain's listing covers photo and barcode food logging, protein and water goals, side effects, photos and widgets, and its FAQ counts shot and pill tracking among Premium features. Peptrend has no food logging. It logs doses and weigh-ins free with no account, estimates what is still in your system, and draws a named trend line in Pro.
By US rating count, MeAgain is one of the two largest GLP-1 trackers on the App Store: 33,400 ratings averaging 4.79 on 18 September 2026. It is built around the whole day on a GLP-1: meals, protein, water, symptoms, photos and the dose. Peptrend is built around two numbers, the dose and the weight, and what can honestly be computed from them. The two overlap less than their category names suggest. Every claim below about MeAgain comes from its App Store listing and its own FAQ on that date.
What does MeAgain do?
MeAgain describes itself as “the GLP-1 tracker app for shots and pills”. Its listing groups the features under four headings:
- Doses: shot and pill logging, dose timing, injection sites, shot and pill reminders, and “medication-level context between doses”.
- Food: logging by photo, barcode and search, with protein, fiber and water goals.
- Side effects: nausea, reflux, fatigue and custom symptoms with timing, severity and notes.
- Progress: a weight tracker and trend view, progress photos, Journey Cards, a daily timeline and widgets, including the Capy character.
It runs on iPhone and Android. The listing says “Some features require a subscription”, and the FAQ says MeAgain Premium “includes the all-in-one GLP-1 tracking features”, listing shot and pill tracking, food logging, weight trends and progress photos among them.
What does Peptrend do instead?
Peptrend logs doses and weigh-ins and does arithmetic on them. A dose carries its milligrams, date and time, route, injection site, a taken flag, an optional 0 to 10 pain rating and the vial it came from. Eleven medication presets ship with it. Six cover five approved GLP-1 medicines, with semaglutide as both an injection and a tablet and orforglipron as the second tablet, and five cover research compounds that the app flags “Not FDA approved, research use only.”
From the doses it draws an estimate of how many milligrams are still in your system, from a published half-life and time to peak. That chart is free. From the weigh-ins it draws a trend line through one of fifteen named smoothing methods, with the formula for each published on the methods page. That chart is Pro.
What it does not have is most of what MeAgain is built on. There is no food logging of any kind, no side-effect journal beyond the pain rating, no progress photos, no widgets and no Android version.

What does each app show between doses?
Both advertise something about the medication between doses, and they mean different things by it. MeAgain’s listing offers “medication-level context between doses”, and its site presents a “Perfect Dose Day” feature about knowing where your levels are. Neither page names a model or the constants behind it.
Peptrend’s In Your System chart names both. Each dose is absorbed toward a published time to peak and then halves every half-life, and the chart adds the doses up. The half-life, time to peak and absorbed share for your medication are printed in Settings, and all three can be changed. The chart’s info button lists the FDA labels and papers behind most presets. The result is a milligram estimate, never a blood level. The app does not suggest when to take a dose, how much to take or when to step up. The chart is free, and how much is still in your system explains how to read it.
Does either app need an account?
Peptrend has none, and MeAgain’s privacy label lists contact information, email address and name, among the data linked to you. MeAgain’s label also lists identifiers and usage data under Data Used to Track You, which in Apple’s definitions means data that may be linked with other companies’ data for advertising, or shared with a data broker.
Peptrend’s label reads Data Not Collected. The data sits on the phone, and with iCloud on it syncs through your own private CloudKit database, which Apple’s documentation says only you can access by default. There is no server of the app’s own, no analytics SDK and no account to lose a password to. The privacy-label comparison sets these two labels beside ten others, where a second app also reads Data Not Collected.
What is free in each?
MeAgain’s listing says some features require a subscription, and its FAQ lists shot and pill tracking among what MeAgain Premium includes. A recurring complaint in its recent one- and two-star reviews is meeting the price at the end of a long setup survey, before the app could be tried.
Peptrend’s setup also ends on a Pro offer when there is a trial to show. Every page after the welcome and disclaimer can be skipped, three of them carry a “Skip setup” button that ends setup at once, and the offer has a “Not now” button. Pass the offer by and these stay free:
- every dose and weigh-in, with the full history;
- the In Your System chart and the Home card, and the Next Shot card with its reminder;
- the raw weight chart, distance to goal and percent complete;
- Apple Health weigh-in sync in both directions, and iCloud sync;
- JSON import and export.
The weight trend line and everything computed from it are Pro, at $12.99 a month, $69.99 a year or $99.99 once on the App Store. What stays free goes screen by screen.
When is MeAgain the better app?
When the day is the thing you want to log. If you want a food diary with photo and barcode logging, protein, fiber and water goals, a symptom journal, progress photos or a widget, MeAgain does all of that and Peptrend does none of it. If you use Android, Peptrend is not an option.
Peptrend covers a narrower job. It keeps a dose history and a weight history on one timeline, estimates what is still in your system from constants you can read and change, and draws the weight trend with a filter whose formula is public. It also handles a daily tablet properly, counting only the absorbed share of each dose; the oral semaglutide post shows the arithmetic.
How do you move across?
Start with Apple Health. If your weigh-ins are already there, from MeAgain or a smart scale, Peptrend reads the whole body-mass history in one import and removes duplicates as it goes. Importing from Apple Health covers what crosses and what does not. Doses are a different matter. Peptrend imports one JSON shape, a top-level list of days carrying shots and weights, and no MeAgain export has been tested against it. Typing a dose history in by hand is the reliable route. Common questions
Is MeAgain free?
MeAgain is free to download, and its listing says some features require a subscription. Its own FAQ, checked 18 September 2026, lists shot and pill tracking, food logging, weight trends and progress photos among what MeAgain Premium includes. The listing is the place to check the current offer.
Does Peptrend have food logging?
No. Peptrend logs doses and weigh-ins and never sees what you ate. There is no food diary, barcode scanner, protein or water goal anywhere in the app. If food logging is the reason you use MeAgain, Peptrend does not replace it.
Can I use Peptrend without an account?
Yes. There is no account or sign-in at all. Data stays on the phone and syncs through your own private iCloud database when iCloud is on, and the App Store privacy label reads Data Not Collected.
Can I bring my weight history from MeAgain into Peptrend?
If your weigh-ins are in Apple Health, Peptrend reads the whole body-mass history from there, whichever app or scale put it there. For doses, Peptrend imports one JSON format, and no MeAgain export has been tested against it.
